In order to support our students in their pursuit of the expansion of their mathematical knowledge beyond the classroom, the SUMS council has decided to establish the "Conference Fund." Students who wish to attend a mathematical conference or seminar are encouraged to discuss the possibility of receiving financial support from this fund with a council member, or to send an email to the council at sums at math dot mcgill  dot ca.

The entire amount allotted to this fund will be decided each year depending on the budget, with the condition that a maximum of 100$ will be provided to any student in a single year. The council hopes to keep the application process informal so students are encouraged to discuss this with council members at any time.
