These seminars are currently taking place on a weekly or biweekly basis. U2 and U3 students are encouraged to attend, it's a great way to enlighten yourself to current developments in your subjects of interest and meet the professors involved with them.

Discrete Mathematics and Optimization seminars

Sage Fridays at UQàM

From their website: SageMath is a free open-source mathematics software system licensed under the GPL. It builds on top of many existing open-source packages: NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, Sympy, Maxima, GAP, FLINT, R and many more. Access their combined power through a common, Python-based language or directly via interfaces or wrappers. Their mission is to create a viable free open source alternative to Magma, Maple, Mathematica and Matlab. Weekly Sage seminars are held at UQàM every Friday at 13h00.

Combinatorics and CS (LaCIM) seminars

LaCIM, the Laboratoire de Combinatoire et d'Informatique à Montréal, hosts weekly combinatorics talks at UQàM. Their schedule, with a description of the talks, can be viewed here. The talks are held in room PK-4323 (201, Président-Kennedy, 4th floor) every Friday from 13h30 to 14h30.
